It's early Spring and a new crossover has to be
built, but nothing gets started until a full set of drawings of the plat
and track elevations have been drafted. The transit is set but the rodman
needs to measure out another twenty five feet before the draftsman will
take the angles. The apprentice is walking over to assist the rodman who
is holding the range pole.
