ABOVE LEFT: East and North walls have been glazed and shaped. Bossage, relief and intaglio have been applied. Gray roof materials are shown in backdrop. ABOVE RIGHT: West and South walls are glazed and shaped. Bell dome oriel is temporarily fitted for the photograph. Awning supports, trusses, and other details are shown in backdrop.

After the "stained glass" window glazing is applied, the two major wall sections can be brought together. Then the first of the overhanging roof support brackets and beams are installed. This is when the roof "truss" beams are installed. Had these trusses been designed to their actual size, the whole process of assembly would be hours longer and the cost of the basic kit would have increased by at least one third.

SOUTHWEST CORNER

This is the photo angle most used in books and other literature about 19th century railroad stations and can also be found throughout the internet. Note the "smoky gray" weathering overspray used along the lower edges of the western roof overhang. That's where the trains chuffed up next to the depot to offload and board passengers.
