Actually this is the station under renovation in 1923 just after the removal of the long awning which gave this design so much grace. You can tell that the original brick was white, not red. The white horizontal line where the awning was removed exposes the original color. Note the baggage cart being used to handle removed masonry. I particularly like the "old timer" cowboy walking along with his cane near the letter "C" in Coca Cola. He probably remembered what the original station looked like and complained to the porter or station master who has his body turned away from him; "What the hell are you doing to our beautiful station?"

We followed the original design!
